REST DEEPER THAN YOU THOUGHT POSSIBLE.

A 120-year-old farmhouse on a working farm in Eastern NC.

No TV. No WiFi. No agenda.

ABOUT THE FARM HOUSE

The Farmhouse at Mill Creek sits on a working family farm in Pollocksville, North Carolina, nestled in the quiet of Eastern NC with the Croatan National Forest right across the road.

This is a 120-year-old home place, newly restored and full of the kind of details you only find in a house that has been genuinely loved across generations. Nothing here is generic. Everything has a story.

Guests come from across the country to unplug here. There is no TV and no WiFi, and most guests tell us that turned out to be their favorite part. What there is: two porches, a well-stocked kitchen, a big farm table, and the kind of stillness that is genuinely hard to find anywhere else.

Across the road sits the Croatan National Forest, home to deer, foxes, wild turkeys, black bears, and more. This is Eastern NC at its most unhurried. Downtown New Bern is 15 minutes away when you want it. Emerald Isle beach is 45 minutes. But the farm has a way of keeping people right where they are.

Hosted by Mary Ann, a Pollocksville native who runs this as her family farm and opens it to guests who value peace, healing, and genuine rest. With over 60 five-star reviews and a 4.98 rating on Airbnb, the Farmhouse at Mill Creek is one of the most loved stays in Eastern North Carolina.

A Note About the Farm:

This is a real working farm, and we love that about it. You may see tractors, mowers, animals grazing, and all the beautiful activity that comes with that. Please enjoy a stroll along the paved road, stay clear of neighboring pastures and fields, and please do not feed the animals. During hunting season you may notice more deer traffic, hunting dogs, and the occasional sound of gunshots in the distance. It is all part of life out here, and we think you will come to love it too.

August 2025 - Lodging for Memorial Service

The serene and welcoming environment was just what we needed. Your warm and welcoming home gave us the space to grieve and celebrate our loved one. We will always remember the peace and comfort we found here, and the role it played in helping us honor our grandmother’s memory. Seeing the many deer, watching the horses, listening to the birds- it all was very relaxing and satisfying. Thank you.

July 2025 - Family Vacation

The farmhouse was a relaxing retreat and a step back in time. The home is like walking through the story of generations, nothing generic, all a collection of precious pieces that have been passed down or repurposed through the family. There are delightful details everywhere you turn. The property is stunning and the perfect place to unwind. Mary Ann and her family are wonderful hosts, always helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed discovering the local spots, the history and shops of New Bern, and spent a few days at the beach on Emerald Isle. This farmhouse provides access to everything you would want in a getaway.

October 2024 - Respite from Hurricane Helene

Everything about this rental was great! We extended our stay of which Mary Ann was very accommodating. Our trip got off to rough start, fleeing hurricane Helene, and so we arrived much much later than originally planned - Mary Ann was very helpful with leaving a key & lights for us. The house was larger than in the photos, a nice surprise, and everything needed or wanted was inside. I really really liked the farmhouse feel to the place and the kitchen was especially cute - loved the open cabinets and may do that in my own place! Check in and out was smooth and trouble free. As to local activities or facilities I couldn't advise, we spent the time with family and so didn't utilize restaurants or other things. Will definitely book again when we return to NC. Thanks again!
