October 2019, I rented The Farmhouse at Mill Creek, Pollocksville, N.C. My experience was delightful. Five of my family enjoyed the accommodations. We found the sleeping arrangements excellent. We could have easily accommodated a couple more heads in beds. We found the beds extremely comfortable. The sheets on the beds were better than hotel quality and the kitchen well equipped.

The accommodations are simple and extremely comfortable. A front porch where one can enjoy coffee in the morning with little to no traffic, and the accompaniment of owls, birds, and the occasional stray deer family moving about. At night one can actually see the stars in the sky as there is no ambient light from the streetlight, stoplights, etc.

It may be the best sleep one has ever had due to the quiet bucolic setting.

For those that have business or family in the very close large towns of New Bern, Jacksonville, Havelock, or Greenville, N.C. this is an excellent choice for hotel alternative.

If you are looking for a quiet "getaway", this is definitely the place! This quaint 100 year old farm house is perfectly restored and appointed with a warm, country feel. Nestled in a country setting only short drive  to the scenic riverfront town of New Bern! Enjoy.

I rented this property for a special luncheon for a dear friend. Our event was attended by a few that knew the property since the 1940's and they were thrilled with the renovations that update this quaint place. The shiplap and bead board inside are reminiscent of the era of construction. The clapboard exterior isn't original but is original to the 1900's structure. Note that the ceramic sink in the kitchen IS the original. All the plates, flatware, glasses and serving pieces I needed were already in the kitchen for us to use for the event. Dining at the farmhouse table was just perfect with seating for 8. 

I would highly recommend this venue to use for a special celebration.
